National Sculpture and Craftwork Festival Opens
Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- A national sculpture and craftwork festival opened at the Pyongyang International House of Culture on Thursday.
On exhibition in the venue were more than 300 sculptures and craftworks created by sculptors and crafts-persons at the Mansudae Art Studio and other fine arts institutions and university students and pupils from schools at all levels and fans.
Looking around the venue were Choe Hong Nam, vice-minister of Culture, Kim Song Min, chairman of the Central Committee of the Artists Union of Korea, officials concerned, the participants in the festival, working people, youth and students here.
The festival will continue until Nov. 21.
