National Dancing Contest Held in DPRK
Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- A national dancing contest took place at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre of the DPRK from Nov. 14 to 17.
The contest was aimed to increase the level of choreographers and the skills of actors, true to the idea of the Workers' Party of Korea on further developing the Juche-oriented art of dance, so as to produce more dance pieces of great cognitive and educational significance.
Attending it were art troupes in Pyongyang and local areas, including the Mansudae Art Troupe, the Phibada Opera Troupe, the National Folk Art Troupe, the North Hwanghae Provincial Art Troupe, the Kangwon Provincial Art Troupe and the North Phyongan Provincial Art Troupe.
Diplomas and relevant prizes were awarded to the successful troupes and dance works.
