Measures Taken to Modernize Local Industrial Factories
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The Cabinet of the DPRK has taken measures for modernizing local industrial factories.
It enhances the unified guidance of the non-permanent central committee for promoting the reconstruction and modernization of local industrial factories, composed of competent officials in all sectors, to attain the stepwise goals.
The central committee worked out model technical proposals for foodstuff factory, daily necessities factory, paper factory and garment factory in keeping with the conditions and characteristics of provinces, cities and counties while actively drawing on the experience gained in modernizing local industrial factories in Kimhwa County of Kangwon Province.
In line with this, the promotion committees in relevant regions identified the projects for reconstruction and modernization and pushed ahead with the work to draw up a list of technical tasks in accordance with the characteristics of their regions.
The central committee took practical steps to push ahead with the modernization by selecting one city and county from each category across the country according to the regional population and the conditions for supplying raw materials.
The work for the first technical assignment of 200-odd factories selected in different parts of the country including the areas of the model unit was finished and the work for going through state sci-tech examination was completed.
Meanwhile, provincial, city and county design institutes are making preparations for the frame construction of the selected projects and the manufacture and installation of equipment.
