Technical Step for Stable Power Supply Taken
Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- True to the idea of the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Kaesong City Power Transmission and Distribution Station in the DPRK has taken technical measures to ensure the stability of electric power supply by readjusting and reinforcing the transmission and supply system in a qualitative way.
Its officials give priority to the technical guidance for raising the power factor by reducing reactive power.
They enhanced the role of technicians and skilled workers to solve the problems arising in converting the AC welders, used at various units, into current-stabilized ones in a short span of time.
While overhauling the main transformers, the station is pushing forward with the work to replace the cable of each substation and check and adjust the measuring devices.
Kaephung and Phanmun district power distribution stations are speeding up the readjustment and reinforcement of power system.
