Scientific Research Successes for Sports Development Made in DPRK
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The Academy of Sports Science in the DPRK has presented more than 90 pieces of research successes conducive to the development of professional sports techniques this year.
Its Sports Science Institute established a Korean-style mathematical modeling method for teaching training control and, on this basis, developed a system of assessing competition abilities according to sports events including track and field and swimming. It also invented training means and methods essential for raising the physical and technical abilities of players in table tennis, boxing and wrestling.
The Sports Nutrient Research Institute finished valuable research tasks including the method of preparing a nutritional diet according to the exhaustion of marathon runners and heavy weight games athletes at each training stage and developed various functional foods.
The Sports Medicine Institute has made achievements in the treatment of sports spinal disease.
The Athletic Apparatus Institute designed physical training equipment for improving the ability to maintain body balance.
