Pyongyang University of Architecture, Base for Training Architectural Talents​

Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang University of Architecture, a pedigree establishment for training architectural talents of the country, has produced a large number of architectural talents every year.

In recent years, the university completed architectural layouts for many major construction projects to contribute to building monumental edifices of the times.

The credit for its development into a competent unit conducive to building a highly-civilized socialist nation goes to the wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who has personally guided it as its honorary president.

One day in November Juche 102 (2013), General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited Pyongyang University of Architecture and stressed the need to bring about a fundamental turn in education as required by the developing reality, saying that the university is an advancing group for building a highly-civilized socialist nation and a base for training talented architects.

He clarified in detail the issues arising in training talented architects, including an issue of making all architectural designs in conformity with the characteristics of local areas and regions and an issue of providing better educational conditions and environment as befits the base for training talents to build world-class structures.

Thanks to his leadership, Pyongyang University of Architecture has turned into a center for academic, information and data service and online education in the field of architecture.

Its teachers and researchers are now conducting brisk research activities to powerfully promote the development of architecture of the country by settling the sci-tech problems arising in the research into dry construction and local production of building materials.
