Coal Production Increases
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- The Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex in the DPRK is making production achievements in the drive to implement the decision made at the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The complex has ensured the scrupulous production organization and technical and practical measures with stress put on the work to provide enough reserves of coal fields through a vigorous high-speed tunneling movement and raise the rate of mechanization in face work.
It provided the coal mines with accessories and materials needed for tunneling on a preferential basis and organized a substantial tunneling emulation among tunneling platoons, thus obtaining tens of preliminary coal fields abundant in deposits in recent months.
The Inpho Youth Coal Mine and the Hoean Youth Coal Mine have carried out their daily plans while increasing the tunneling speed more than 1.6 times by briskly conducting socialist emulation among shifts and pits.
