Efforts Focused on Major Construction and Modernization Projects
Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan Province of the DPRK is speeding up the major construction and modernization projects for regional development and improvement of people's livelihood.
Basing itself on the successes and experience gained in the course of building 20-odd objects last year, the province has pushed ahead with the projects as scheduled.
Its shock brigade members in charge of the construction of Sinuiju Teacher Training College finished the framework of school building, dormitory, e-library, gymnasium and other structures.
Work to provide teaching tools and modern educational means is going on simultaneously.
The construction work for a provincial sci-tech library and a provincial medical supplies factory was completed ahead of schedule.
In Sinuiju City, ten blocks of goat pens and a milk processing factory were built with efficient milk processing equipment manufactured and installed.
Meanwhile, successes have been made in the renovation of such several objects as the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory, the Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill and the Sakju Chicken Farm.
