Events Held in Different Countries​


Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Events were held in different countries between June 10 and 18 on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

They included meetings, seminars, lectures, round-table talks, film shows and photo exhibitions in Mongolia, Bangladesh, Syria, Denmark, the UK, Nigeria, DR Congo and Equatorial Guinea.

Screened at the film shows were videos showing the history of the great WPK and the development of socialist Korea.

The chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association said in a speech that Kim Jong Il who started his work at the Central Committee of the WPK devoted himself to carrying forward and accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by President Kim Il Sung.

The chairman of the Youth Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in DR Congo noted that Kim Jong Il's start of work at the WPK Central Committee on June 19, 1964 enabled the Party to consolidate its harmonious whole with the popular masses and vigorously smash all challenges unprecedented in history.

The chairman of the Korean Friendship Association UK recalled that Kim Jong Il set forth the original and scientific ideas and theories on building the revolutionary party of the working class and developed the WPK into the most dignified and powerful one through his energetic activities.

Personages from the Mongolian Cultural and Research Center of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Bangladeshi Media Persons' Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, Syria's Baath Arab Socialist Party and the Nigerian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism stressed that the whole world recognizes Kim Jong Il's feats for the development of the WPK and the accomplishment of the human cause of independence.
