Bean-sowing in Full Swing in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- With bean-sowing in full swing on farms across the country, the bean-sowing plan mapped out by the Ministry of Agriculture has so far been implemented at over 70% at present.
Agricultural workers in Pyongyang City and northern areas of the country wrapped up the sowing of beans by rationally allocating manpower and means for different farming processes proceeding simultaneously and taking measures to prevent damage by all harmful insects.
Technical workshops and visits to the farms distinguishing themselves in bean farming were organized in North Phyongan Province.
Agricultural officials in the province mapped out a detailed bean-sowing plan and concentrated manpower on it, thus finishing sowing bean as first crop.
Similar successes are witnessed among agricultural workers in other areas, who chose the right soil for bean farming and carpeted fields with lots of quality manure. They work hard to learn from the experiences of the exemplary units.
