DPRK People Offer Heartfelt Congratulations to WPK General Secretary

Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- All the people in the DPRK are now filled with great emotion and jubilation over the news that Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was elected as the general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) at the 8th WPK Congress.

Millions of WPK members and all other people in the country are extending the highest glory and warm congratulations to Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the WPK, who is opening up the era of gigantic changes and miracles with his gifted ideo-theoretical wisdom, extraordinary leadership and noble virtues.

Kim Ju Song, department director of the Ministry of Railways, told KCNA:

The election of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as the general secretary of the WPK is an event of weighty historic significance in developing the Party and accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche, and it is a great auspicious event of the nation.

Enforcing the people-first politics, he has developed our Party into the powerful general political staff of the revolution, steel-strong elite vanguard ranks and genuine mother party.

I will fully discharge my responsibility and duty in carrying out the new five-year plan for national economic development, true to the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, the symbol of the mightiness of our state and the banner of all victories and glory.
