Pigyokjinchonroe, World's First Bomb with Time Fuse
Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- The Korean nation produced lots of creations, developing science from early times.
Among them is Pigyokjinchonroe made by Ri Jang Son, a gun-maker, in the 16th century.
Pigyokjinchonroe is a kind of bomb the Korean ancestors had so often used at battles against the Japanese invaders during the Imjin Patriotic War (1592-1598).
This bomb, cast in iron, could fly 750-900 meters. It had a time fuse, unlike other bombs in the past. The explosion time was controlled by the length of explosive fuse.
Pigyokjinchonroe is registered as the prototype of time bomb in the world history of firearms.
