Anniversary of National Acrobatic Troupe Marked in DPRK​

Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA) -- The National Acrobatic Troupe, winner of Order of Kim Il Sung, marked its 70th founding anniversary.

Over the past years, the troupe has created many works and given more than 32 600 performances at home and abroad, winning at least 90 trophies, prizes and medals at international circus festivals.

On June 10, Juche 41 (1952) when the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War was at its height, President Kim Il Sung ensured that the troupe was founded.

The troupe took the first step for the national circus under the leadership of the President, and ushered in a brilliant era of Juche-based circus efflorescence under the guidance and care of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un provided a vital guiding principle for the development of Juche-oriented circus, enjoying the troupe's performances several times.

For the past 70 years, the troupe has written a history of the development of Juche-based circus.

In the period, the troupe produced more than 100 Kim Il Sung Prize winners, Labor Heroes, People's Artists, People's Artistes, Merited Artists and Merited Artistes.
