New Digital Food Physical Properties Analytic Equipment Invented

 

Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- Various measuring instruments to improve the quality of foodstuff have been used in the DPRK.

Among them is digital food physical properties analytic equipment highly appreciated at the 33rd National Festival of Science and Technology this year.

The digital equipment, invented by Cooking College of Pyongyang Jang Chol Gu University of Commerce, automatically measures the physical properties of food like solidity, tensile force, shearing strength and adhesion.

It helps public catering establishments put cooking on a scientific, standard and specific basis.

According to Kim Ri Hak, a department head of the college, the equipment can graphically and statistically display the characteristic values measured in the outer and inner layers of food with the help of computer.

It is easy to handle and has few measuring errors.
